Handmade London - Kennedy City Bicycles

Apologies for the radio silence over the last few weeks, things have been a bit hectic here at Julian Love Photography HQ. After a 10 day shoot in the Bahamas I came back and immediately into another 5 day advertising shoot here in London. I can't talk about it yet but there will be a full reveal here on the blog when the time comes.

In the meantime, I've been continuing with the Handmade London project. Today's picture is of James Kennedy at Kennedy City Bicycles. I actually shot this picture last month before heading off to the Bahamas, but only just got around to retouching it this week. There are a couple more in the pipeline so keep your eyes peeled!

From his workshop in Clapton, James Kennedy assembles stylish urban single speed bicycles to order under the watchful eye of his gentle Great Dane, Huxley. His mission is to spread the cycling bug by providing attractive, affordable bikes for people who haven’t quite taken the plunge so far. He hand selects the components and offers a variety of colours and styles. By only selling direct through the website he can keep overheads low, allowing him to invest more in the quality components for each bike. Since he opened for business in the start of the summer things have taken off and he is now building over 10 bicycles a week.
